Shining Lights

“Hello, Joan” “Good to see you!” “JOAN!”

These exclamations are what you might hear walking into an IMTA session with Joan Hawkins, founder and director of Cameo Model Management, as she is greeted by IMTA scouts. Joan helps modeling and acting students prepare professional presentation tools to get them noticed. From photo shoots, head shots, comp cards and portfolios to acting classes. Joan sets up acting and runway workshops taught by an impressive list of industry professionals from New York, Los Angeles and Atlanta with whom she has long standing relationships. The workshops prepare students to either compete at the annual January IMTA competition in Los Angeles, or to meet one-on-one with agents in New York or other markets. Cameo has models and actors working in New York, Los Angeles, Memphis, Atlanta, even Internationally in print and runway.  Check out Cameo's Success Stories page on the Cameo website.

"Regardless of the hot topic of the day, we always talk about the importance of treating people with respect and kindness while finding an inner light to help them shine."

What is IMTA?

“The International Modeling and Talent Association (IMTA) is a professional association of the finest and most successful modeling and talent training centers in the world. Since 1987, IMTA has become the recognized leader in putting new faces in front of the people whose business it is to identify the next rising star or supermodel. An impressive, and constantly growing, list of people who were first seen at IMTA conventions are now seen in magazines, TV, movies and fashion shows.” – IMTA website.

My friend, Joan

Dogs, recipes, health, are some of the side topics Joan and I discussed while designing her website. No matter the hot topic of the day, we always talk about the importance of treating people with respect and kindness while finding an inner light to help them shine. While I worked in the technology industry for many years designing custom software solutions, Cameo was my first website to maintain as an entrepreneur. Luckily, I was treated as one of the models or actors in her agency. Joan saw the skill I was hiding and moved it into the spotlight.

Rebecca Sandidge is working together with individuals and companies to create a new web presence. It is Rebecca's myriad of life experiences that has led to her success in designing websites. Check out SandiSites.com.

I personally met Dorothy Shi, photographer, and Clair Sinnett, acting coach. Both are gifted in their craft. Check out CameoModelMgt.com to view the Fall 2020 event schedule to plan your photo shoot or acting workshop.
